Asia Nuclear Business Platform (ANBP) provides a world-class platform to access and gain first-hand insights on the Asian nuclear market. The ASEAN nuclear energy market is poised for a promising future, offering immense opportunities for international stakeholders eager to engage in a dynamic and forward-looking region. With energy demand projected to triple by 2050, countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam are leading the charge, actively pursuing nuclear power to meet decarbonization goals and ensure energy security. Indonesia, for instance, aims to have its first commercial nuclear plant operational by the early 2030s, showcasing ambitious commitments to clean energy. The region’s proactive steps, including partnerships with global leaders, and a focus on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) for safer, scalable solutions, make ASEAN an exciting frontier for innovation and investment in nuclear energy.

ANBP 2025 is will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam. Vietnam is charging ahead in the nuclear energy race, positioning itself as Southeast Asia’s most determined newcomer with a clear-eyed vision for clean, reliable power. The country is reviving its ambitious Ninh Thuan project—targeting two large reactors (around 4 GW total) by the mid-2030s—while aggressively exploring SMRs to meet surging electricity demand and support its net-zero goal by 2050. Strong government commitment, a robust industrial base, world-class manufacturing capabilities, and deepening international partnerships are fueling rapid progress.

What Participant Are Saying About ANBP

“ANBP is truly a platform for international nuclear community. We embrace new friends here and reconnected with the old ones. We not only share our experience, but also kept up with the blooming nuclear industry. Some of the Southeast countries are actively considering nuclear power as an option and we are deeply appreciative that the organisers have assisted us in establishing strategic relationships with these countries during the conference.”

— Lin Haomiao, CNNC

“I was pleased to be invited to this valuable event as a key note speaker and have the opportunity to deliver our overview on Saudi National Atomic Energy Project. I would really and strongly recommend, especially the new NPP comers, to attend such an event and capitalize on their present in attending these key discussions and networking.”

— Mishari Aldosari, Saudi National Atomic Energy Project Office

“I would say that our sponsorship delivered in terms of the exposure we wanted. For the most part the right people from the right countries were there. We had more interaction at our booth than I expected and some good discussions resulted.”

— Paul Amico, Jensen Hughes
